Mary O'Brien

Mary O’ Brien is Director of Services at Arklow Cancer Support Group.  Together with some friends she formed this group back in 2009 after the passing of her daughter Orla from a brain tumour.  The main reason for starting up this much-needed service was the lack of help available to Orla and the rest of her family at this very difficult time.  It would have been physically exhausting for Orla to have to travel to access support elsewhere.   

Arklow Cancer Support Group provides a free and totally confidential service to the people of Arklow and the surrounding area.  We offer a comfortable and welcoming space where people can meet to support each other safely and confidentially.
